  5. and a moderator of graphite. Carbon dioxide
  6. gas is pumped through the reactor core to
  7. extract the heat produced by the fission of
  8. the uranium. The heat is transferred to water
  9. in a steam generator, and the steam drives a
  10. turbogenerator to produce
